Using USB 3.2 Gen 1, this solution provides increased bandwidth and faster data transfer speeds, up to 5Gbps, at lengths up to 33ft. The solution offers bus power with optional 5V 3A DC input (not included). Plug and play installation is quick and easy, with no software or drivers required. Reduce cable clutter by running the included 33ft link cable between connections.

USB Extender Mode Configuration

For most applications, both units of the extender should be set to Auto Mode via the DIP switch to ensure optimal plug-and-play performance. Some USB devices—such as video bars with integrated host computing—are dual-role, meaning they can function as either a USB host or device. In these cases, Auto Mode may not operate reliably. To ensure compatibility, set the extender to Device Mode at the USB device end (e.g., camera). Set the host end to Auto Mode. The host end in this case refers to the connected PC or laptop.

Recommendation: Use Auto Mode by default for the best out-of-box experience. Switch to Device Mode only when working with dual-role USB devices.
