The Allen & Heath SQ-6 is a powerful 48-channel, 36-bus digital mixer designed for professional applications in live sound, studio recording, broadcast, corporate AV, and houses of worship. Powered by the advanced 96kHz XCVI FPGA engine, the SQ-6 delivers ultra-low latency (under 0.7ms), high-resolution audio, and precise mix coherency—making it ideal for complex, high-channel-count productions.

Equipped with 24 high-grade mic preamps and 24+1 motorized faders, the SQ-6 offers intuitive control across six fader layers and 96 assignable strips. Its 12 stereo mixes (configurable as auxes or groups) and eight stereo FX engines with dedicated returns provide flexible routing and processing, while access to the RackExtra FX library and DEEP processing allows users to embed boutique compressor and preamp emulations directly into channels—without added latency.

The mixer’s 7" capacitive touchscreen, surrounded by illuminated encoders, 16 assignable SoftKeys, and four assignable soft rotaries, offers fast, hands-on operation. Users can customize layouts, assign channel names and colors, and tailor workflows to suit any environment.

With SQ-Drive, users can record and playback stereo or multitrack sessions directly to a USB drive—ideal for virtual soundchecks and live capture. The built-in 32x32 USB audio interface supports seamless DAW integration, and DAW control via MIDI over USB or TCP/IP is included.

Expansion is easy via the SLink EtherCON port, which supports remote audio over dSnake, DX, or gigaACE protocols. An onboard I/O port allows for optional Dante or Waves audio networking cards, and the SQ-6 is fully compatible with the ME Personal Mixing System, giving performers control over their own monitor mixes.

Additional features include automatic mic mixing, real-time 31-band RTA, user permissions, scene memory, and channel safes, making the SQ-6 a robust and flexible solution for any professional audio environment.
